The water supply to some parts of Delhi was disrupted on Thursday as high levels of ammonia in the Yamuna disrupted water production. The issue was resolved on Friday. This was caused due to the level of ammonia in water going up to 5.8 parts per million. As a result of this, the water production at water treatment plants that draw water from the river, Chandrawal, Okhla and Wazirabad was reduced.
