Rainfall in Delhi expected by July 4-5: IMD scientist - Delhi-NCR region continues to suffer a dry spell. Indian Meteorological Department, Senior Scientist Rajendra Kumar Jenamani said, 'Delhiites have to wait for 2-3 days more. And rainfall is expected to be activated from July 4-5. July 5th for sure.' On overall monsoon, IMD senior scientist said, 'A good spell is coming after 10 days. We received 18% rainfall in the month of June which is far better than the previous year but it did not sustain. Post 26 June, particularly north-west India received less rainfall.'

India on Wednesday recorded 18,653 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally upto 585493 infections of coronavirus which includes 220114 active cases, 347979 recovered/migrated cases.
