The Cyber Cell of the Delhi Police has busted a fake call centre and arrested seven men who allegedly duped more than 500 people of over Rs 2.5 crore by promising them to provide loans from reputed companies offering financial services, officials said on Tuesday.
So far, the agencies have uncovered a hawala operation of more than Rs 300 crore but officials privy to probe said the final figure can go into thousands of crores.
As the number of cases were on the rise, the 200-bed hospital was declared a Covid-only facility by the Delhi government in May. It is among six Delhi government hospitals which have been converted into a complete Covid facility.

India on Tuesday expressed interest in getting Russian COVID vaccine Sputnik V according to a statement. The statement on the website dedicated to the "world's first registered Covid-19 vaccine" lists out India along with 20 other countries that have shown interest in getting the vaccine.
The statement says," At least 20 countries had expressed interest in obtaining the Sputnik V, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, Mexico and India."
