Expressing solidarity with farmers agitating at the borders of Delhi against the new farm laws, a farmers association in Kerala has sent 16 tonnes of pineapples by truck to the national capital for free distribution.
The South Municipal Corporation passed a resolution in this regard Thursday and will now be followed by the North municipal, which plans to pass a similar resolution.

Protesting farmers at Nirankari Samagam ground in Burari started cultivating onions to use their idle time. “Since we have been sitting idle for a month during protests, we thought of growing onions as we can use it for our daily cooking. We'll grow more crops on Burari ground,” said a farmer. The farmers’ protest against the agricultural legislations entered second month on December 27 as talks with centre have remained inconclusive so far.
At least one person shot dead and 4-5 persons injured after neighbours clashed in Delhi’s Trilokpuri area, police said. According to East Delhi DCP Jasmeet Singh, both the families reside next to each other and there is no angle of loot in the incident.
