Education News: NEW DELHI: Schools in the national capital on Saturday notified their respective first lists for admission to nursery classes which began in February .
The Central Government on Friday banned doorstep delivery of ration scheme MMGGRY (Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana) of Delhi Government, scheduled to be launched on 25th March. The scheme was supposed to be first rolled out in the Seemapuri area of north-east Delhi's Shahdara district.
With this, the infection tally in the national capital has climbed to 647,161, with a total of 10,955 deaths due to the disease since the outbreak last year.
In a letter to the Delhi Food Commissioner, the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has also said that changing the provisions of the Act so as to allow delivery of foodgrains to the doorstep of beneficiaries, would need the approval of Parliament.
