After the spike in coronavirus cases in Delhi, the government decided to quarantine coronavirus patients at home. While the decision is suitable for those living in houses which have two or three rooms, it is not feasible for those residing in 8x8 rooms in overcrowded slums.

PM Modi in his speech on the 12th of May had appealed to the citizens to become AatmaNirbhar, taking that call seriously, Sachin, RWA president decided to rope in doctors within the society and make their own quarantine centre for its residents. Times Now visited the quarantine centre which now has close to 6 beds with oxygen cylinders and all the required medical assistance for its patient. New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said Delhi will be given 500 railway coaches to address the shortage of beds for coronavirus patients and will also receive central help to increase testing after a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The meeting, where Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan was also present, took place after the Supreme Court pulled up Delhi and several other states over their handling of the pandemic.
