Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has come across a first-of-its-kind case of white fungus which causes multiple perforations “throughout the intestine” in a Covid-19 patient, doctors said on Thursday.
With the Covid-19 positivity rate registering a significant fall in the city, the meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Friday is expected to take a call on the lifting or easing of the coronavirus-induced curbs in the national capital. The meeting, which will be held at 11.30 pm, will be attended by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, along with the chief secretary and other senior officers. Besides a possible discussion on the unlock, the DDMA will also take stock of the current situation of Covid-19 cases and vaccination in the city.
